The ending is great again. Stoner feels ill, learns he has cancer, dies. As he is dying, he looks back over his life. Honest writing--great final 20 pages.
So, a wonderful first 150 pages. Then, for me, a dull 100 pages. Then a great ending.
And endings matter. Glad I read it, but I won't reread.
